Total lightness is perceived from the "8mm" bookcase in honeycombed aluminium that moulds spaces without rigidly dividing them.
An agile and flexible system where design and technology are harmoniously combined: the slim but sturdy structure and the shelves make up a solid aluminium frame that is only 8mm thick and that becomes the perfect synthesis of the concept of "dematerialisation", the cornerstone of all the Valcucine Living projects.
Made up of storage modules that are developed horizontally or vertically and that have many functions, this bookcase can be used to create open arrangements but can also be customised by adding back panels in laminate or in MDF lacquered in all the colours available in the vast Valcucine range that can be alternated at will to close the compartments.
The "8mm" bookcase can be composed as wished, is available in 4 heights and in just one depth and can be installed back-to-wall or freestanding to separate environments. This project stands out for its transversal application and for the ease with which it fits into all the environments of the home.
In the back-to-wall version, the bookcase is also available in the wood (with 10mm thick uprights and shelves).
The home office takes shape. The wall units with lift-up doors and the wall-hung desk to use as a workstation can also be coordinated with the bookcase system.
It has become of fundamental importance today to have a large, luminous and essential space to live and work in. This is what Valcucine envisaged for its Living project.
Most of the technology in a home is concentrated in the living room: TV sets, the computer, stereo systems, the radio. A multimedia centre that must be ready to use at all times. To avoid the risk of having cables running visibly along all the walls, Valcucine has designed the sliding top, also available on wall-hung desks, that creates a specific place for all cables and power supply units that are completely hidden at the back of the unit where they can be easily accessed when necessary.
