C-Series Smoked Oak

With its new, dark surfaces, Smoked Oak creates an exclusive contrast to the neutral white tall units and the hanging unit in this kitchen. Previously a traditional little cooking area, the kitchen in this villa was opened up towards the dining room, creating a perfect, welcoming and coherent space. The floor has been laid in the same material in order to ensure optimal integration between the kitchen and the other areas of the home. Wall-mounting the classic C-series drawer units adds a touch of furniture elegance to the kitchen, referencing the Danish Design classics used to furnish the other rooms. The dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer are discreetly merged into the solution behind the tall white front panels from uno form’s U-series. The cooker hood is has similarly been integrated into the distinctive white 12 mm hanging unit panels. Note the floating worktop that serves as a practical dining area in the kitchen.
The C-Series is the original classic uno form series, designed by Arne Munch in 1968. It is characterised by its stringent appearance with cubic units and high plinth, which fully exploits the space between floor and worktop. The characteristic and functional slated drawer fronts create the optimum ‘handleless’ kitchen, integrating the kitchen drawers without drawing attention to their different heights.
