Just as the agora – the meeting place at the heart of the polis, the city - of ancient Greece, the new aluminium radiator designed by Nicola De Ponti for Tubes aspires to become the focal point of contemporary living, around which the household meets up and lives the warmth of the home.
The two distinctive features of Agorà are the three-dimensional modularity and plasticity of shape, which confirm a design approach strongly focused on innovation. The sinuous lines speak the language of contemporary design yet proceed through memory recall. The reworking of style elements clearly inspired by those with a history behind them takes on strength, freshness and a new world of meaning by means of an accurate scaling process of the heating element.
With measurements which can be varied according to the composition of the single elements, Agorà plays on the thin line which maps out and unites the necessary technical field and pure emotion. Easily moulded and softly curving, it has been conceived for any environment. However, thanks to its versatility, it is particularly suited, with discretion and elegance, to being placed in smaller scale spaces, or extremely large ambiences such as open spaces, lofts or high ceilings.
The wing of the module can be linear, or feature a special incision that allows greater airflow and improves overall heating efficiency, allowing you to also glimpse the coloured background of the walls.
Choosing aluminium has enabled the maximum lightness but also the required thermal performance in a clean, compact structure to be obtained.
