Silk Road

Jonah Takagi’s Silk Road is a series of pendant lamps that explore the layering of materials. The lamp is made of a spun‐metal shade that sits atop a large piece of hand‐blown glass, which surrounds a tapered wire cage and a traditional pleated lampshade.

It is a collage of disparate parts, which adds up to something both foreign and familiar.
