öko skin: a vivid interplay of colours
The multi-disciplinary building at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, USA, provides students and faculty with state-of-the-art classroom and laboratory spaces. When planning the spatial design, the architects from BVH Lincoln and Multistudio focused on active learning and fostering collaboration among people. This multi-award-winning new building was clad with öko skin slats in the highlight colour coralline. The vivid red tone imparts a lively and fresh look to the building shell. The differing surfaces contribute additional accents. The colours, textures and materials chosen all draw on the surrounding landscape and blend harmoniously into the overall picture
