An absolute novelty: in addition to the Limited Edition, Richard Lampert will be presenting a further development of the iconic table frame. The young designer Tim Schütze has created a mechanically and an electrically height-adjustable version of the Eiermann 1 Table Frame, which are celebrating their preview in Milan in the form of prototypes. Using this archetypal classic of good design as the starting point for a university project was not just a pragmatic decision for Tim Schütze. It was also a tribute to the legacy of an influential and internationally acclaimed piece of furniture. Inspired by the functionality of 3D printers that use spindle drives to adjust the printing plane, Tim Schütze came up with the idea of using a similar mechanism in order to adapt this icon to meet contemporary requirements for desks.
