Light according to requirements
With the integrated lighting solutions in its projects, Zumtobel shows us the deeper meaning of optimized lighting at the workplace when it comes to human productivity. This is challenging especially in those cases where a building fulfills many functions all at once. This was certainly the case for the headquarters of IT and telecommunications specialist Infobip in Croatian Vodnjan: The “Pangea” high-tech campus provides not just offices and meeting spaces on 17,000 square meters, but also a restaurant, an education center and living apartments. The owners provided essential input when it came to the architecture and design of the complex and opted for a natural stone façade rich in variety. The complex is crowned by a top floor enveloped in glass and featuring an expansive roof terrace. In their breaks, staff members can enjoy the quiet position of the site with a marvelous view of the nearby Adriatic Sea.
Depending on the use of the different areas, the structure required dazzle-free lighting, clear accents or a subtle and decorative general lighting concept. For the Infobip offices the square “Light Fields evolution” luminaire in the pendant version was thus chosen, which offers an optimum balance of indirect and direct light. Thanks to tunableWhite technology, the color temperature of “Light Fields evolution” is infinitely variable between 3000 K and 6000 K.
The slim aluminum volume further harmonizes well with the building’s interior architecture of raw concrete ceilings with visible technology and utility pipes, while the interplay of black and white surfaces provides an ideal stage for the “Light Fields evolution”. The “Supersystem II” spots contribute accents, for example in the relaxed meeting area between the work stations. Zumtobel has opted for “Slotlight infinity” to provide calm basic illumination. The light lines are seamless and may be laid up to a length of 50 meters. The geometric formal thrust of Zumtobel’s luminaires is continued in the round casual-look “Ondaria” luminaires deployed in the canteen area. Lighting in the communication zones and living areas of the adjoining apartments on campus is also very homogenous. In these areas Zumtobel decided to use its decorative “Caela” system, which allows for low installation heights and in this way allows for flexible arrangements. In the evening hours the outdoor lighting “Supersystem Outdoor” perfectly shows off the building. Security lighting was carried out using “Puresign” and “Resclite”.
Zumtobel’s broad and varied lighting portfolio ideally supports the different uses of the premises. Furthermore, the lighting specialist’s flexible scenarios fosters the natural biorhythm of everyone present using the space – reduced, warm lighting promotes relaxation and idea generation, while bright, cool lighting drives concentration. Depending on the incident daylight, the presence of staff in the rooms or the time of day, Zumtobel’s tunable White technology makes it possible to create individualized moods in the different rooms of the Infobip headquarters. Lighting in the building can be comfortably controlled via a central lighting management system by Zumtobel. “We have opted for the high quality lighting solutions by Zumtobel because their automatized functions are very useful for a large campus like ours,” says Tina Loncaric, Public Relations Director Infobip.
