Zeitraum 2024: AEON STOOL

Mathias Hahn focussed on balance when designing his new chair family for Zeitraum. For the first time, the Bavarian manufacturer is now presenting ‘Aeon Stool’, a bar stool without a backrest that emphasises the organic lines of the design.

Static and dynamic, functionality and aesthetics are in balance in the new Zeitraum chair family. In addition to the chair and bar stool with and without armrests, London-based designer Mathias Hahn has also created a bar stool without a backrest for the manufacturer. By focussing on the bare minimum of a chair – its legs and seat – the organic line of the seat and its materiality take centre stage in ‘Aeon Stool’. It is made as an ergonomic moulded oak shell and adapts to the human body. Meanwhile, a solid wood base gives the construction the desired stability. Like the entire range, the versatile stool is available in any colour stain from Zeitraum, from the energetic ‘Mauve’ to the greenish blue called ‘Fjord’. Whether in combination with other products in the collection or as a stand-alone piece: with "Aeon", high craftsmanship meets a clear design and the enduring aesthetics of oak wood. (eb)
