The best light 24/7
To write articles under time pressures, the journalists in the new Stuttgarter Zeitung and Stuttgarter Nachrichten newsroom need the right lighting, particularly in the wee, wee hours of the morning and in the evening. To respond to this, the choice fell on the “Lavigo Pulse VTL” floor lamp designed by Structurelab Architekten for Waldmann for the fit-out of the workstations. The color temperature and brightness of the LED floor lamp adapt to the time of day by means of a predefined control curve. For the hectic morning period the luminaires provide daylight-white light with a high blue content, which activates the body in a natural way. Around midday the blue proportion of the light gradually wanes. Thus, in the evening the biodynamic illumination creates a more relaxed atmosphere with warm white light. The sequence of lighting intensity and color temperature is based on natural daylight and as such has a positive effect on the heart rate, blood pressure and mood of staff members.
Thanks to its LED technology, the “Lavigo Pulse VTL” floor lamp is highly energy efficient. With a closed luminaire head and light-enhancing CDP microprisms, the luminaire emits glare-free light suitable for desk work. Its reduced, rectangular space-saving form enables it to be used at any workstation and its controls are also optimally positioned for ease of use. Incidentally, the “Lavigo Pulse VTL” luminaire received the German Design Award in 2017. (am)
