Sitting healthy
"Is there a chair that has the clarity of a modern design icon that is at the same time unique, suitable for everyday use, comfortable and ergonomic?" asks gastronomic legend Charles Schumann. And continues: "Is there a chair that meets the highest design standards? And at the same time promotes healthy, dynamic sitting? A chair that moves us in a unique way?" There is – the "D1", designed by Stefan Diez for Wagner Living. In the meantime, a whole family of chairs has grown up around it: Each model enables dynamic sitting thanks to the further development of the Dondola joint: The rigid connection to the chair base is decoupled, the micro-movements relieve the intervertebral discs and promote concentration. Progressive thinking is in the Wagner family's genes: in 1950, Moritz Wagner founded a small chair factory in Langenneufnach near Augsburg. The "W-1960", a wooden pub chair with specially developed glue joints, was the first product - and is still a timeless classic today. Design, movement and health are in harmony in the portfolio of the traditional company: "I don't want to sell customers furniture on mass, but good sitting", says Peter Wagner. (am)
