Vola is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year - to mark this occasion, we are presenting the design classics of the traditional Danish company with a series of short films.

The HV1 washstand fitting is the prelude: in 1968, designer and architect Arne Jacobsen designed the iconic shape for the National Bank of Denmark. The idea: Only outlets and handles are visible, all mechanical components remain hidden behind the wall. The result is a puristic shape with smooth transitions between the single mixer and fixed outlet. (am)
