060: Sustainable Showering
Vola celebrates its 50th anniversary this year - on this occasion we present the traditional Danish company and its design classics with a series of short films.
The round rain shower 060 is part of Vola's "round series" and was developed by the architects Arkitekterne A/S. For the production a 600 kilogram brass rod is cut into slices and then processed. Vola recycles 100 percent of the resulting waste. The sustainable use of resources is important for the Danish manufacturer at all levels: for the showerhead, a flow rate of 24 to 15 litres can be selected, at a water pressure of three bar. The shower is suitable for both ceiling and wall mounting and is available with a chrome finish, brushed stainless steel and a wide range of colours. (am)
