Quiet luxury
Beige, brown, sand – these colours bring the promise of warmth and relaxation. Warm minimalism’ has now also arrived in the bathroom, emphasising its function as a fully-fledged living area. Villeroy & Boch combines the beauty of natural, durable materials such as fine solid wood and high-quality ceramics in natural colours such as ‘Almond’ or ‘Morning Green’. Fittingly, the organic shape of the ‘Antao’ complete bathroom collection from Kaschkasch is inspired by dewdrops and combines all components, from the washbasin to the taps and WC, in a balanced way. Thanks to the premium TitanCeram ceramic, the surfaces are delicate in design and particularly robust. These are ideally complemented by stylish bathroom furniture, such as in ‘Warm Walnut’ or ‘Honey Oak’, which look particularly elegant in the colour-coordinated setting.
Visual harmony is important for the ‘warm minimalism’ style: all colours and materials are coordinated in monochrome. Gentle shades of white to beige and light brown to dark brown, subtle textures and the combination of natural materials such as wood, ceramics and textiles create a purist look that offers a warm, luxurious feeling of space. The ‘Artis’ collection by Gesa Hansen also offers many possibilities for individualised bathroom design in neutral colours: with four shapes, additional models in reduced sizes and a wide range of colours, it leaves nothing to be desired. In cooperation with Villeroy & Boch, the designer has created the new ‘Artis FullColour’ colour concept for the ISH, which highlights the beauty of the ceramic particularly well with neutral tones, a pleasantly natural feel and a matt look. For the first time, full-surface matt colours are also available, including the extravagant ‘Pure Black’ and the elegant ‘Almond’. ‘The bathroom is the last truly private room in the house, so its design is of particular importance,’ says Gesa Hansen. If storage space is required, the washbasins can also be combined with furniture from the ‘Antao’ or ‘Finion’ collections, for example.
Visitors to the ISH from 17 to 21 March 2025 will be able to experience just how pleasantly homely ‘warm minimalism’ with a sustainable balance of warmth and simplicity can be for bathroom design at the Villeroy & Boch trade fair stand, which was created by designers Gesa Hansen and Christian Haas.
