Victor Foxtrot: DOUBLE U
The name "Double U" of the new chair from Victor Foxtrot is quite apt, as the pairs of legs each form an upside-down "U" at different heights. The dynamic shape is continued in the armrests and, depending on the perspective, appears seamless in the overall picture. The gentle curves not only have visual advantages: By gently embracing the seated person's body, they provide ideal support. The ergonomically curved seat shell and backrest are also made from pressed beech wood. The Hamburg-based duo sources the high-quality wood from local forests that have been sustainably managed for many hundreds of years.
The comfortable upholstery of the chair is covered with the wool bouclé "VIDAR 4", which was designed by Fanny Aronsen for Kvadrat and was recently given a new colour palette by Raf Simons. The firm structure with a light satin finish is robust and ideal for expressive designs. The intensity of the unusual geometry of the "Double U" chair in the room can be individually defined thanks to the numerous colours of the powder coating: Whiskey, blood orange, pink, yellow, ocean blue, grass green, dark green and black are the options that make "Double U" an impressive solitaire as well as a solid team member. Customised designs can also be realised. (am)
