The front bench
Zinta by Lievore Altherr Molina for Arper
Apr 16, 2014
Has you rubbing your eyes in amazement. Whatever the Barcelona trio of Lievore Altherr Molina turn their hands to for Arper hits the mark! Last year it was “Ply”, “Saya”, “Song” and “Wing”, this year “Colina” and “Zinta” enter the fray. An armchair and a bench that can easily be combined – but are equally brilliant on their own. Especially “Zinta” teases the senses, after all benches have tended to take a bit of a backseat to chairs and sofas in the world of furniture. With “Zinta”, that could all change: Thanks to the exceptionally harmonious blend of wooden seat shell with softly rounded edges with partial upholstery on a light-looking frame, the bench is elegant and leisurely in appearance. No doubt, the “Mix & Match” principle does its bit in helping make the sofa-bench so attractive, as it is available in different upholstery and color variants. You can choose between the flat (“Zinta Waiting” and “Zinta Contract”) or thick upholstery (“Zinta Lounge”), between different color combinations, that even extend to red and yellow, and wooden veneers in untreated, brown or dark oak. The many modules at hand mean Zinta can be extended at will, or even taken round corners. And for those lazy days there’s an optional armrest. (mm)
