Skandiform 2021: DITO
"We wanted to develop a chair that is easy to use and comfortable to sit on. We took the opportunity to combine different materials and components depending on how the chair would be used. With the shaped seat and backrest, I was able to work with soft edges and details to design a chair with classic - yet unique - features. It also feels good that I could work with a new material that has a low climate impact," says Stefan Borselius. A combination of hemp fibres and recycled plastic forms the basis for the new "Dito" chair family he has developed for the Kinnarps brand Skandiform. This is not only sustainable, but also lightweight, stackable and flexible: different variations in material and colour can be selected for the frame as well as for the seat and backrests, depending on demand.
