Luxury elevator to lake views
The recently opened Bürgenstock Hotel is situated on the steep slopes of the Bürgenstock mountain. The location affords spectacular views of Lake Lucerne and Switzerland’s picture-book landscape. Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn even stayed in the historical resort, which is undergoing extensive redevelopment lasting several years and is due to reopen in spring 2018. It now encompasses 30 buildings and sports complexes. The five-star-superior Bürgenstock Hotel by Rüssli Architekten has already been officially opened, and offers a luxurious ambience.
The overarching aesthetic concept includes an eye for detail – the 42 elevators by Schindler are not only interior design gems, but also of the very highest technical standard. The models in the S5500, S3300 and S3400 series require no machine room, and with their belt drive are extremely smooth running and comfortable to ride in. Inside the elevator, stainless-steel surfaces have been combined with elegant woods and indirect lighting. The elevators by Schindler boast high energy efficiency and are equipped with energy-saving LED lighting. When a regenerative drive is also used, the “Schindler 5500” consumes up to 30 percent less energy than comparable elevators. Customers can choose from a large selection of different colors and materials for the elevator walls, ceilings, floors and doors, enabling the interiors to be individually designed. Indeed, some of the luxury elevators at Bürgenstock Hotel have rear walls lined with leather. (am)
