Laufen knows what is important in the bathroom: since it was founded in 1892, the company has been constantly developing fresh ideas for greater comfort and environmental awareness. A look at the current range shows a cycle-orientated design – in which products are manufactured in a resource-saving way and their use helps to save water and energy. Laufen's presentation at the upcoming ISH in Frankfurt am Main promises to be a multifaceted experience, curated by Studio Snøhetta, who already created an ideal stage for Laufen at the Salone del Mobile 2024. The stand concept will emphasise Laufen's core themes, which include research into new technologies and the further development of design in favour of a more sustainable future.

Cleanet Alvia’ shower toilet

Examples are numerous: Laufen's ceramic products are fired in Gmunden in the world's first emission-free electric tunnel kiln for the production of sanitary ceramics. Pioneering research includes, for example, the urine-diverting toilet ‘save!’, which was developed together with the design studio EOOS. By separating the urine inside the toilet, the types of waste can be efficiently recycled. Laufen taps also help to conserve valuable raw materials, as the water volume and temperature can be precisely regulated during use. Thanks to high quality and a large selection of spare parts, the products are particularly durable. With ‘Laufen Smart’ and the associated app, digital monitoring of sanitary facilities is also no problem; the desired configuration can be made during installation and flexibly customised. Processes are also automated for the ‘Cleanet Alvia’ all-inclusive shower toilet from Laufen: With customisable functions, a heated seat and UV and water disinfection, the product offers a high standard of comfort and hygiene. All this and many more pioneering ideas and innovations await visitors to the ISH at the Laufen stand in Hall 3.1, Stand C50-C70C. (am)
