Prostoria in the Design Post

"Since the beginning of our collaboration with designers, we have followed the path they have set for us, because this is the only way we can develop the products that will one day become icons, like the 'Polygon' armchair," says Tomislav Knezovic, Chairman of Prostoria. With this openness to new ideas and a continuous investment in modern manufacturing technologies, Prostoria has grown steadily since its founding in 2011. The raw materials come primarily from domestic sources – especially the solid wood. Production is 100 percent in-house at the company headquarters in Hrvatsko Zagorje, north of Zagreb, where everything begins with in-house research and development and leads to the processing of textiles, wood and metal. Not only does this protect the environment, it also strengthens Prostoria's expertise in furniture production and demonstrates the creative skills of designers such as Numen/ForUse, Grupa, Simon Morasi Pipercic and Meike Harde. The impressive modernist legacy of Zagreb is something that inspires the design language of Prostoria’s products based on a strong R&D culture within the factory. The selected models of the collection will be on display all year round at the Design Post Cologne, starting with the "Novelties 2022" event from 16 January 2022. (am)
