Perfect Poolside: "Buddy Oasi" by Busetti Garuti Redaelli for Pedrali

The Art of Lingering

Pedrali outdoor furniture is inspired by the natural beauty of Italian landscapes. They carry the flair of Mediterranean sunny spots – and transform outdoor spaces into places of serene harmony.

Maybe late summer is the king of the seasons after all. Saturated and sun-kissed, it leans back and savours the ripeness of the past sunny days. The light-filled Mediterranean landscape with its generous plant life, ancient rocks and sparkling waters provides the perfect inspiration for this peaceful, dignified cosiness. For over sixty years, Pedrali has been designing furniture for precisely this feeling of being with and in nature. The shaded terrace with the iconic Pedrali table by Robin Rizzini is the perfect place to start the day. "Toa" combines a technical-industrial style with decorative charm. The minimalist design with an aluminium base lends visual lightness and technical strength as well as the laminate tops with their stone or terrazzo finishes. It therefore fits perfectly into this centre of social interaction on the patio, where garden and house meet. The prototypical "Guinea" chair with its armrests made of sparingly used teak works just as well as the more voluminous "Lamorisse" armchair from CMP Design. The way the comfortable cushion nestles into the round aluminium structure radiates cosiness. And its appearance is not deceptive: elastic belts support the seat and provide individual comfort.

"Reva Cocoon" loung seats offer an ideal place of retreat. Patrick Jouin also designed a version with a high backrest that creates the cocoon promised by its name. This is a place of comfort and tranquillity for anyone looking for a moment of peace and quiet. But don't worry: the chirping of birds can still be heard through the weave of weather-resistant polypropylene. Only any stress remains outside. Soft cushions in various shapes help you relax. Here you can read undisturbed – even up to the last page. Anyone who would like to join can take a seat on "Panarea", the outdoor seating collection designed by CMP Design. As a lounge chair, it fits perfectly into the setting with its backrest woven by hand in Italy. Its curved shape embraces the body and is also ideally suited to a table in the armchair version. Inspired by the Mediterranean coast with its sandstone, it communicates relaxed naturalness with salty air and the scent of pine forests. Pedrali also has the perfect product in its portfolio for spontaneous seating under palm trees: "Philía" is the ultimate all-rounder designed by Odo Fioravanti. It works just as well in the bar in the village as it does in the garden under the trees or at the dining table. In addition to its good looks and long-lasting quality, its greatest strength is its comfort. Easy to handle – it can be stacked in both versions – "Philía" can be transported quickly from the sun to the shade and back again.

As the cool water of the pool promises refreshment, the features of the latest addition to the family, "Buddy Oasi", come into their own at the poolside scenery: designed for outdoor use, you can dry off on the sofa in the sun as the removable cover is equipped with a waterproof lining. The design by Busetti Garuti Redaelli brings a playful lightness to the setting with generous cushions and delicate legs. The special feature of "Buddy Oasi" is the movable backrest. It can be freely positioned on the seat and, thanks to its weight and non slip fabric on the underside, provides a solid base for cosy lounging around. The colourful collection plays Pin-Pong with broom and lavender in the flowerbeds. "Caementum" by Marco Merendi and Diego Vencato adds colourful accents. As a monobloc table made of concrete, it forms a solid base for drinks, books laid aside or serves as an eye-catcher wherever a little splash of colour is required.

The aperitif is classily served on the veranda: Rectangular upholstery on a lightweight aluminium frame characterise the elegant design of "Arki-Sofa". Exquisite teak details on the armrests and backrest emphasise the cosy and clean character of the sofas. The modular series is available in two seat depths and can be combined with chaise longues to create a flexible lounge area. With warm earthy colours, the furniture harmonises with the friendly colours of limestone. And the "Twiny" rug by DWA Design Studio creates a particularly cosy atmosphere in the outdoor setting. With its sandy tones, it not only flatters bare feet and radiates Mediterranean hospitality: There's nothing in the way of settling in and feeling at ease.

Even if getting up afterwards isn't any easier: in a cosy corner, "Anemos" entices you to the table with its formal elegance and charming twist. The warm terracotta colour reveals its architectural character. Pio and Tito Toso have designed a round table that impresses with its minimalist yet classic design language. Its base consists of two separate concrete shells, which take on a flexible and sinuous form with a double curvature: like a piece of cloth moulded by the wind. Visually light and dynamic, it is stable thanks to its weight and structure - even on windy days. The matching "Babila Twist" armchairs by Odo Fioravanti echo the soft, dynamic language. A rhythm of straight and curved lines represents the connection between the built and the grown environment - and corresponds harmoniously with southern thick-leaved plants.

When the evening dawns, the last rays of sunshine are best enjoyed in a sheltered nest in front of sun-warmed tiles: There, "Nolita Sofa" awaits you as a reminiscence of the company's tradition, which was started by Mario Pedrali in 1963 with metal chairs for the garden. Its metal frame is covered with polyester upholstery protected by a waterproof layer of polypropylene fabric. For the "Nolita Relax" version with greater seat depth, CMP Design has also adopted the joyful character of the first garden chairs with simple as well as classic shapes. Sitting here long into the night, it's the perfect place to listen to the crickets playing their night concert and count the stars.
