Pedrali 2021: BLUME

"Blume" is the name of Sebastian Herkner's first collection for Pedrali. This refers to the slender, wave-shaped profile made of extruded aluminium, the cross-section of which is reminiscent of a seven-petalled flower head. Decoratively, it gently surrounds the rounded polyurethane foam seat cushion of the stackable armchair and lounger as well as a selection of coffee tables in various heights. All screws are concealed, so the transitions appear smooth. Meanwhile, high-quality upholstery fabrics from Kvadrat and Sahco were selected for the upholstery of the seating furniture, which are particularly pleasant to the touch. The tables are adorned with luxurious marble slabs, be it the sand-coloured Breccia Aurora, the reddish Rosso Levanto or Fior di Pesco, whose natural colouring varies from crimson to grey-green. Pedrali has also thought about recycling: all components of the collection can be disassembled and disposed of properly at the end of their life cycle. (am)
