Orgatec 2024: OBJECT CARPET
From the floor to the furnishings to the ceiling, four German family-run companies will be presenting sustainable solutions for the modern office. At 840 square metres, the promising trade fair stand of Object Carpet, Walter Knoll, Zimmer + Rohde and Sattler forms a large architecture with floating effects of textile and light, through which visitors are guided with layered transparencies, material collages and views. The circular idea determines the visual design of the circular rooms as well as the use of materials: all exhibits are reused by the exhibitors after the fair.
Most of the static infrastructure is leased from the exhibition centre and the stand builder, and the remaining special structures are made from recycled and recyclable wooden panels and kept to a minimum. Just the right setting for the sustainable quality of Object Carpet: Carpet specialist Object Carpet has been working intensively on sustainability for decades and develops carpet solutions that always have the environmental aspect in mind. The majority of the products are made from recyclable yarn and can be returned to the production cycle after use. Thanks to the pioneering ‘DUO’ technology, it is possible to produce exclusive, durable and hard-wearing carpets for modern office, hospitality and living spaces using just two materials. The new creations from the sustainable collection can be discovered at the upcoming Orgatec. (eb)
