CHAIRity: Chair swap campaign
Hand in an old chair and get a sleek new designer chair in return: that's the offer being made in the CHAIRity chair swap campaign that will take part on January 21 as part of the "From Aalto to Zumthor: Architects' furniture" exhibition at Cologne's Museum für Angewandte Kunst. Anyone interested will need to be fast, as the campaign will only last as long as chairs are available. The swap certificate you will need to take part costs one hundred euros.
Munich: Creative Business Week
What role does design play in a company's success? What has demographics have to do with design? Munich Creative Business Week will be attracting listeners by fielding any number of possible answers to these questions will attract participants. From February 7-12, the capital city of Bavaria will be hosting more than 90 design events, such as panel discussions, exhibition and workshops – creating a platform for an exchange of ideas between the business world and the design scene.

Design Museum London: The designs of the year 2012
What will be the outstanding designs of 2012? The Design Museum in London will be showcasing all the nominations for the "Designs of the Year" award from February 8 thru July 15. Fields represented will include architecture, the digital media, fashion, furniture, graphic, product and transport design. April 24 will be "Awards Night" with the official public announcement of the winners.

MMK: Andy Warhol exhibition
He is an icon of Pop culture and believed the future would grant each and every one of us 15 minutes of fame. He was as fascinated by the contemporary mass media as he was critical of them; so it was that US artist Andy Warhol collected printed matter from daily newspapers through comics to movie programs. From February 11 to May 13 the touring exhibition "Warhol: Headlines" will stop off at Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt/Main – and show us all the artist's works relating to the mass media.
