Creative double
The direction in which a curated selection of interior design manufacturers are currently setting their sails can soon be experienced in Munich: Two events will take place there from 13 to 16 March 2025: The established Münchner Stoff Frühling and, for the first time, the Munich Design Days. Both formats are independent of each other, but are connected by a shuttle service and can be experienced by trade visitors with a free ticket.
The list of national and international exhibitors at both events is impressive: More than 20 interior design brands, including ClassiCon, Ligne Roset, Zeitraum and Müller Möbelwerkstätten, are taking part in the Munich Design Days on the Praterinsel event location between the arms of the Isar. On the Praterinsel, they present their products in an extraordinary architectural setting with 2000 square metres of space: the former spirits factory with filling hall, orangery, customs vault and root cellar. With Munich Design Days City, the central Praterinsel location is complemented by several brand showrooms from companies such as Freifrau, Janua and Minotti. Münchner Stoff Frühling, with its many showrooms and temporary locations such as the Priscohaus, includes parallel presentations by Kvadrat, Jan Kath, JAB and Object Carpet, among others.
The exclusive events also include talks - such as at the Munich Fabric Spring at the Occhio Experience Center on 13 March at 6:30 pm: ‘Bei Licht betrachtet. How atmosphere is created’, Dr Oliver Herwig will be discussing with interior designer and architect Fabian Freytag, lighting expert Helen Neumann (Director Lighting Design at Occhio), textile designer Stefan Gabel and designer Werner Aisslinger. The guided tours also offer a good overview. Interior expert Jan Reuter leads a curated programme through selected showrooms and introduces designers, creatives and exhibitors. The programme of Münchner Stoff Frühling also includes the ‘Meet the Experts’ format for promoting young talent in the field of interior design and furnishings. Workshops will focus on contemporary issues such as sustainability, room acoustics and digitally networked interiors.
With the Munich Design Days and Münchner Stoff Frühling, the Bavarian capital will become a central hub for interior design from 13 to 16 March 2025.
