Orgatec 2024: LODES

Lodes invites visitors to the world's leading trade fair for modern working environments in Cologne on a nautical voyage and shows how aesthetically pleasing dynamic lighting solutions can be.

Red-painted metal tubes will form the framework for the first presentation of Lodes in the Design Post at Orgatec 2024 from 22 to 25 October 2024: Inspired by red and white striped beach huts, the architect and designer Paola Navone creates a pop seaside landscape. The installation is an abstract reinterpretation of the exhibition that was shown at this year's Salone del Mobile. In this setting, the round glass bodies of the ‘Oblò’ family of luminaires from Paola Navone – OTTO Studio are beautifully presented: like glowing buoys, their LED light source is hidden in the knotted cable, emphasising the clear design in a colour palette of metallic blue to silk white with their powerful light.

Visitors can also take a closer look at the new version of ‘Volum’ by Snøhetta or the ‘Random Stick’ pendant luminaire by Chia-Ying Lee. The 100 to 150 centimetre long, hexagonal rod can be fitted with four or six hand-blown glass spheres, which gently distribute the light in the room. Meanwhile, LEDs on the underside of the ‘Random Stick’ provide focused brightness. Lodes' lighting solutions feature a design that fits perfectly into both the homely atmosphere of the modern office and the stylishly furnished home office.
