Communication headquarters
Sunrise, the second-largest telecommunications company in Switzerland was on the lookout for premises for a new location – it eventually decided to move to Ambassador House in Zurich’s newly evolving district, Glattpark. Boasting 57,000 square meters of floor space Ambassador House is one of the largest coherent office zones in the country. And with its direct tram links and ideal connections to the international airport and railway network the building was perfectly suited to providing attractive workspaces for 1,400 employees. Other conveniences include its own fitness studio, catering outlets on the ground floor, and a concierge service. That said, naturally the offices themselves are at least as important as the actual setting. Sunrise commissioned design studio Greutmann Bolzern to create the look of the rooms and chose Swiss office furniture expert Lista Office LO to provide the furnishing.
For every floor the interior designers created different work zones that offer the perfect environment for the tasks at hand. For example, there are quiet workstations in “offices for a day”, group workspaces and lounges. Ample free aeras areas on every floor conveys a sense of spaciousness and creates spots for casual meetings and spontaneous communication.
The new furniture by Lista Office LO most definitely supports this approach to work because it not only boasts excellent finishing and high quality materials but is not only highly adaptable and flexible. For instance, at the turn of a wrist, the mobile LO Vertical Desks in the single-cell offices can be easily converted to tables for team work. Winner of the Red Dot Design Award, LO Next is a practical partition and shelving system that not only gives rooms a strong structure but also offers ample storage space. Simultaneously, it preserves the open and free-flowing character of open-plan offices and can be adjusted flexibly to suit different room usage. The LO Next elements are ideal for storing employees’ personal items and team documents etc. Thanks to the integrated electronic locking system documents are not only well protected but also easily accessible for those authorized to read them.
