Ligne Roset 2021: ALANDO und BRIORD
A metal frame made of round tubing combined with dark wood forms the basis for "Alando" and "Briord" by Ligne Roset. The "Alando" desk and sideboard were designed by Eric Jourdan, the "Briord" desk by Rémi Bouhaniche. Both pieces of furniture are ideally suited for stylish home office furnishing. Reduced in form and with clear lines, they show the style of modern classics. In detail, "Alando" is based on the design of the 1950s - the round tubular structure incorporates the rectangular components made of walnut. In the sideboard version, the handleless surface of the hinged doors also conceals plenty of storage space. In "Alando", the central element is framed by two panels that extend beyond it in length. In combination with the slender metal frame and the flowing lines, this creates exciting contrasts. "Briord" by Rémi Bouhaniche for Ligne Roset also features an airy frame, but its lines rely on the optical effect of asymmetry. An aerial view of the Ligne Roset works in Briord provided the designer with the inspiration for this. For a constantly tidy work surface, the tabletop of "Briord" made of black-stained ash veneer is fitted with a small drawer in which a laptop and writing utensils can be stored. (am)
