STYLEPARK LIGHT + BUILDING AUTUMN EDITION
Ready, steady ...
On October 2, 2022, the Light + Building trade fair will at long last resume with a special edition in Frankfurt/Main following the suspension of the world’s leading trade fair for lighting and building technology since 2018 owing to the Covid 19 pandemic. So far over 1,500 exhibitors from 46 countries have registered, reflecting a wide spectrum that ranges from luminaire design, via electrical engineering and house and automation through to networked security technology. And the Light + Building Autumn Edition kicks off with a real highlight – namely the Design Plus Awards. Some 34 products have been selected by the jury to receive the “Design Plus” label and they will be showcased during the course of the exhibition that runs until October 6, 2022. In making their choices jury members focused on such criteria as the quality of the design, intuitive operation, energy efficiency and the sustainable use of resources. The award-winning products include the “Jung Home” Schuko power outlet, the “Hager flow” energy storage system, and the “Gira E2” surface-mounted housing with lighting element. “I see a move towards lighting systems that can be individually combined and transformed through various accessories. Module systems and families of luminaires than can be combined are also interesting from a sustainability point of view. Exciting accessories from the ancillary industries such as lenses, suspension systems that simplify installation and optical films make for sophisticated luminaire designs. Luminaires in combination with acoustic functions are an aspect that has received much attention,” summarized jury member and lighting designer Ulrike Brandi.
Intelligent building technology is the thematic focus of the Light + Building Autumn Edition and includes building automation, e-charging infrastructure, and electrical installation systems. Lectures, discussions and seminars on these topics will take place in the Building Plaza in Hall 9.0. In Hall 8 the Intersec Building will be devoted to issues related to networked security technology and it is also the venue for the Intersec Forum - the conference for networked security technology. Anyone on the lookout for the latest design luminaires should make a note of halls 3, 4 and 6 – and stop by the Design Plaza in Hall 3.1 to catch up with the hot topics for the lighting sector. The Design Plaza will be a major meeting point for the trade public at the Light + Building Autumn Edition.
With such a comprehensive range of products and services it really pays off to be well prepared: One easy way is to use the Light + Building Contactor of Messe Frankfurt, the international search engine for lighting and building technology companies. In addition, the Digital Extension of the trade fair will be accessible from October 2 to 14 providing a wealth of opportunities for virtual presentation and networking. And for easier orientation visitors can rely on the interactive hall plan of the Light + Building Autumn Edition that comes with a zoom function so you can identify all the details of the various hall levels.
