Focus on exchanging knowledge
When König + Neurath organised a K+N Live event at its Karben site for the first time in 2023, visitors were surprised and delighted. They were amazed that the long-established family business did not put its products in the front row, but positioned itself as a source of inspiration for controversial, industry-relevant topics. In 2024, the Barcamp then successfully toured all six German branches with different focal points, which became places for a lively exchange of knowledge. König + Neurath is now taking this idea further - the appearance at Orgatec is a highlight: As part of the iba Work Culture Festival ‘Whenever Wherever’, an exclusive programme with top-class speakers will be presented in the stand's own K+N Impulse.Hub. On each day of the trade fair, the team led by Georg Frech, Head of the K+N Academy, will moderate talks and keynote speeches on all aspects of the world of work. Futurologist David Borst will give a talk entitled ‘How we will live and work in the future’, while architect Apameh Schönauer will explain ‘What leadership can learn from the construction site’. ‘Stay cool! Step by step through the VUCA world’ is the title of Dennis Fischer's presentation, who specialises in future work skills.
‘As a solution-orientated full-service provider, we see ourselves as a platform for ideas and knowledge relating to work culture. We connect people and organisations, share knowledge and ideas. This is how we find new ways to shape the work culture of tomorrow,’ says Marc W. Lorch, König + Neurath CEO. He continues: ‘In our collaboration, we support our partners from the initial analysis through to long-term service and ensure simple processes.’ The manufacturer uses the knowledge gained through dialogue and collaboration to design future-oriented furniture and room solutions made in Germany.
At the upcoming leading international trade fair for modern working environments, the expert in office furniture and room systems will be showing what this can look like in practice. The centrepiece of the 750 square metre stand is the large, round ‘K+N Impulse.Hub’ stage for interaction with guests, as well as a Makers Space, a gaming zone and an area with a forest bathing design. In addition, a wide range of product designs can be explored, which were created in a joint project between König + Neurath and students from the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Art and Design. These were developed on the theme of ‘Flexible Office’. The design of the trade fair stand was created by Carina Hölzer and her interdisciplinary team. ‘Our trade fair stand will be recognisable from afar thanks to the iconic space. Various projection screens will give visitors a glimpse behind the scenes - into our production site and everyday working life,’ says Marc W. Lorch. The stand concept is based on circular economy. All furniture, lights, curtains and floor coverings will be reused in the K+N showrooms after the trade fair. Other materials are already made from recycled and recyclable materials or can be returned to the cycle in their pure form. (eb)
