On the finish line
For the first time, six categories have been created for the Designplus Award by ISH in cooperation with Stylepark, which structure the product submissions in a targeted manner – including the two special categories "Young Innovators +" and "Sustainable Exibition Stand +". These cover the entire range of products and services offered by ISH and the exhibitors and ensure that all sectors represented are equally encouraged to apply for the Designplus Award.
The categories at a glance:
-Water& Efficiency +: This category honours innovative solutions for more efficient water use and reduction of consumption.
-Heating& Sustainability +: Sustainable technologies in heating and air conditioning that focus on environmental friendliness are the focus here.
-Smart & Control +: Intelligent systems for controlling appliances through to entire technical building equipment systems are assessed.
-Design& Innovation +: Combinations of advanced design and innovative technology are honoured here.
-Young Innovators +: This category is exclusively for start-ups and young innovators supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK). It recognises new business models from the youngest players in the industry.
-Sustainable Exhibition Stand +: Exhibitors whose exhibition stand impresses with its sustainable design and the use of environmentally friendly materials are honoured in this category.
The expert jury has now selected a shortlist from 160 submissions, which can be viewed on the trade fair website. Consisting of the industry experts Amandus Samsøe Sattler (Ensømble Studio Architektur, President DGNB e.V.), Elke Oechsner (Managing Director, Heizungs-Journal Verlags-GmbH), Jens J. Wischmann (Managing Director VDS – Vereinigung Deutsche Sanitärwirtschaft e.V., Managing Director VdZ – Wirtschaftsvereinigung Gebäude und Energie e.V., Matthias Thiel (Head of Business Administration, Data Management, Demographic Change at ZVSHK – Zentralverband Sanitär Heizung Klima) and Stylepark (magazine for architecture and design), outstanding ideas were nominated and the final winning entries were selected. These will be honoured at the DesignPlaza in Hall 3.1 on the first day of the world's leading trade fair for water, heat and air at 2 pm.
The award-winning products and ideas will be on show at an exclusive special exhibition in the foyer of Hall 5.1 for the duration of the fair. Stylepark Magazine will publish the award-winning ideas from the submissions together with the jury statements. (am)
