imm cologne 2022 is canceled
Due to the current pandemic situation, the imm cologne will not take place on the planned date in January 2022 in Cologne. This has been decided by the management of Koelnmesse in close consultation with the Association of the German Furniture Industry (VDM) and in agreement with other renowned industry representatives at international level. "After consultation with numerous exhibitors, industry representatives and trade partners, participation is either out of the question or subject to considerable doubt for German exhibitors or exhibitors from German-speaking countries," says Jan Kurth, General Manager of the VDM in this regard.
Approximately 600 companies from 51 countries were expected to attend the imm cologne. The event was planned as a re-launch after the furniture fair had already been cancelled in 2021 due to the pandemic. "We did not take this decision, which is very bitter for us, lightly, but we consider it our duty to take this step now in close coordination with the industry. In the interest of our exhibitors, we are hereby creating clarity and planning security. From our joint point of view, an imm cologne with its claim to be the leading trade fair for the interior design sector is not feasible in the current situation," Oliver Frese, Executive Vice President of Koelnmesse GmbH, explained the decision. The cancellation is limited to imm cologne and does not apply to the other B2B events planned in Cologne in spring 2022.
The next imm cologne will take place from 16 to 21 January 2023.
