Freifrau 2024: MARIE LOW DINING

The concept of low dining, previously confined to exclusive outdoor settings, has now been introduced to the interior design sector. The low version of the "Marie" upholstered armchair, created by Freifrau, represents a new synthesis of lounge and dining, offering a sophisticated solution for interior spaces.

Whether in exclusive hotel lobbies or in private living areas: Freifrau presents the seating furniture from the "Marie" collection by Hoffmann Kahleyss Design as a industry pioneer in the low dining version. Its versatility is impressive: "The low seat height not only opens up completely new possibilities for use in a classic dining room situation, but also in other settings," says Niklas Helweg, Managing Director of the Lemgo-based manufacturer. Eating and relaxing no longer have to take place one after the other, but can happen at the same time. The loose upholstery with a crinkled cover is casually embedded in a filigree steel frame - a relaxed gesture that matches the informal character of low dining. At the same time, the seating furniture loses none of its elegance. They are available with and, for the first time, without armrests and harmonise perfectly with the new lounge version of "Marie". As usual with Freifrau, there is a wide range of fabric and leather options to choose from, which can be used to nuance the inviting look. (eb)
