FLOS 2020: IN VITRO
The outdoor lighting collection "In Vitro" by Philippe Starck for FLOS.
With “In Vitro” for FLOS Philippe Starck resorts to an ancient archetype: the lantern in which the illuminant, in other words the candle, oil lamp, or bulb is protected by a glass cover. Starck “dematerializes” this illuminant so that all that is visible is the glass cover illuminated by a now invisible source. Available in a standing, wall-mounted or ceiling models, Phillippe Starck refers to his design as “poetic and surreal”.
