e15 2021: BACKENZAHN BLACK OAK
For the 25th anniversary of the "Backenzahn", e15 founder Philipp Mainzer has created a special edition of the design classic - the "Backenzahn Black Oak".
The "Backenzahn": In 1996, Philipp Mainzer designed the design classic as a side table made of solid oak wood, which has embodied the core values of the Frankfurt-based company e15 ever since: The pure use of materials in combination with traditional craftsmanship and progressive design. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the design classic, he has now developed a vinegar-based solution that triggers a natural darkening process of the wood and colours the surface into deep, matt black. Then every unique piece is sealed with a waxed finish. Each "Backenzahn Black Oak" is branded with Philipp Mainzer's signature on the underside. (am)
