Final Sprint

33 nominees have been shortlisted for the Designplus Award by Light + Building. The competition was organised by Messe Frankfurt in cooperation with Stylepark. The final winners will be honoured on the first day of the trade fair for lighting and building-services technology in Frankfurt.

In several stages, the expert jury selected a shortlist from well over one hundred submissions, which can now be viewed on the trade fair website. Made up of industry experts Amandus Samsøe Sattler (Ensømble Studio Architektur, President DGNB e.V.), Annika Egloff-Schoenen (Managing Director Fachverlag Dr. H. Arnold GmbH), Katja Winkelmann (owner of Licht 01 Lighting Design), Ulrike Brandi (Managing Director Brand Licht) and Stylepark (magazine & platform for architecture and design), it nominated 33 outstanding design achievements and ultimately selected the final winners. Their assessment criteria met the highest quality standards in terms of innovation and sustainability.

The international submissions, ranging from technical luminaires and home and building automation to lighting components and security technology, represent the entire spectrum of the Light + Building product range and emphasise the international significance of the award. They reflect the diversity and innovative strength of the industry and showcase the latest developments in the four categories Light + Creation PLUS, Sustainability + Efficiency PLUS, Smart + Connectivity PLUS and Sustainable Exhibition Stand.

The final awards will be announced during an awards ceremony on Sunday, 3 March 2024, the opening day of Light + Building, at Messe Frankfurt's Design Plaza. The award-winning products will be on display in an exclusive special show in the foyer of Hall 5.1 for the entire duration of the fair. Stylepark Magazine will also publish the winning designs together with the jury statements. (eb)
