Perfection in detail
A central location that is nonetheless a quiet place to live in: The new “NeMo” residential building complex in Düsseldorf is an ideal combination of these two requirements. Between Neusser Strasse and Moselstrasse, Instone Real Estate Development GmbH has built a residential quarter which stands out for its proximity to the River Rhine, the “Bürgerpark” and the popular shopping street “Kö,” and yet which is in such a protected setting that no compromises whatsoever need to be made when it comes to relaxed living. Because the architectural concept of Geitner Architekten envisaged the closure of an empty site between two buildings, sections of the facade alternate between clinkered and rendered in line with the existing structures in the neighborhood. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow lots of natural light to penetrate the spacious condominiums.
The fittings in the low-energy buildings offer top quality down to the very last detail: The CeraWall Individual shower channel by Dallmer was chosen for the bathrooms. With its simple formal idiom it blends in almost invisibly in the clear structure of the interior design. Alongside its aesthetic look, the qualitative characteristics of the drainage system, not to mention the beneficial technical and structural features were pivotal in the decision. The CeraWall Individual shower channel is available in lengths of 800 to 2,000 millimeters; furthermore, each channel can be cut to length, enabling it to be fitted flush with the recess. For Instone the interplay between design, quality and the fulfillment of technical requirements were deciding criteria in favor of using it for the “NeMo” project. Residents reap the benefits of the easy-to-clean drainage system: In combination with the DallFlex drain body the CeraWall Individual shower channel is, thanks to the removable trap, very easy to clean and thus extremely hygienic.
