COR 2022: JALIS LOUNGE
"We always follow an idea and are faithful to it for a long time, developing it further. For us, the product has to tell a story," say the designer duo jehs+lab about their design of the "Jalis Lounge" armchair for COR. With this relaxed new addition, Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub are expanding the successful "Jalis" collection with a modern recliner that effortlessly combines elegance and comfort. A folded seat cushion served the designers as inspiration for the firm upholstery and visually accentuated contours. The release mechanism of the version with tilt mechanism also contributes to the harmonious overall appearance: Instead of being in the usual form of a clunky lever, it is completely hidden in the armrest and is only marked as a tone-on-tone embroidered circle. For extra comfort, the headrest can also be tilted by 20 degrees, providing additional support for the seated person. Those who wish can relax their feet in parallel on the matching stool. "Jalis Lounge" is available in all the fabrics and leathers in the COR collection. The V-shape of the backrest upholstery, however, is accentuated by fine embroidery. There is a range of four colours to choose from for the contour band that decorates the rim. In addition, the base can be lacquered as a fixed wire frame or rotating plate base with tilting mechanism in many colours. (am)
