ClassiCon 2021: SOL SIDE TABLE
With the "Sol Side Table", the designer duo OrtegaGuijarro has designed a side table made of glass for ClassiCon that looks like a sculpture consisting of three differently sized plates. In the variants blue, grey and bronze, the construction appears new from every perspective in the play of light and shadow. "Our work always aims to create visual tension," says OrtegaGuijarro. In detail, the version in grey and bronze is made of solid-coloured Parsol glass, while "Sol" in blue is made of crystal glass with colour inlay. Thanks to the transparency of the material and the charming light effects on the surface, "Sol" by ClassiCon can be easily integrated into any interior design and still sets a visibly contemporary accent. "The use of glass as the only material has allowed us to maintain precisely the pure aesthetics in 'Sol' that fascinated us from the first moment," say Carlos Guijarro and Alex Ortega. (am)
