The family-run company Brunner designs sustainable working environments: The customised solutions focus on flexibility, comfort and stylish design, such as the new ‘wave’ table range. Basically, this includes two versions that combine aesthetics and function: The striking wave shape of the base is either fixed as a central frame, or supports continuous conference table systems as individual side panels. Jürgen Laub and Markus Jehs, designers of the new collection, explain the additional function of the table legs: ‘The curved frames give the construction more stability. This is important, as we want to minimise the number of sides, especially on long conference tables – for an elegant shape and as much legroom as possible.’ The special trick of their design: the steel construction is magnetic. The electrification can be ideally concealed behind the interchangeable covers. The table legs are also available in a variety of high-quality finishes. With coated metal, wood or leather, ‘wave’ can be customised to match existing interiors and make a statement. Thanks to numerous variations, the design can be customised down to the last detail: from the marble inlay in the table top to the pilaster strip, the raised vertical strip that decorates and structures the structure as a style-defining feature. For a special accent, this can be chosen in a different style to the table legs that surround it.

With its modern shape, ‘wave’ is a professional but by no means sober option for the prestigious office, offering ideas for large conference situations as well as for the management office. And even in a smaller dimension, for example as a workdesk, ‘wave’ is a stylish place to work. As it is important to Brunner to fulfil as many wishes as possible with the new series, the team has also developed a design for sophisticated dining and hospitality areas together with Jehs + Laub. The wave-shaped frame is fixed in the centre of a round table top and creates great comfort with optimum legroom. The natural wood panelling has a high-quality, round design that is particularly inviting and ideal for upmarket restaurants.

wave light’ is just as comfortable but much lighter: Brunner is developing the idea further for informal settings and transferring the dynamic design to public areas. The frame for ‘wave light’ is made of resource-saving plastic and can therefore be easily moved around the room. With three colours and a variety of surfaces, the round tables can be flexibly adapted to individual design requirements. In addition, the series is available in bistro and standing height as well as with different table top sizes, allowing different requirements to be catered for in the same style. This means that the charming line of the ‘wave’ collection is also finding its way into modern hotels, cafés and restaurants. (eb)
