Holistic design
For more than 45 years, Brunner has been producing innovative design furniture for the contract sector. The company manufactures its products at its headquarters in Rheinau, Baden, to the highest quality standards. This not only ensures that the products have a long service life, but also that they are highly functional, which is demonstrated, among other things, by the flexibility of the respective furniture. In collaboration with renowned designers such as Stefan Diez, Steffen Kehrle, atelier oï or the Ippolito Fleitz Group, Brunner is constantly developing new solutions in which technology, craftsmanship and aesthetics are in harmony.
In addition, the company implements individual customer requests, whether in offices and conference rooms, large halls such as convention centers, or in a wide variety of hospitality areas. These include, for example, hotels, restaurants, and event venues, which can be optimally used thanks to the flexibility and uniform design of Brunner furniture. The company's products can also be found in the stadiums of national and international clubs such as VfB Stuttgart, VfL Wolfsburg and Arsenal FC in London. Their flexibility makes it possible to change the seating depending on the occasion. At the same time, the high-quality VIP and box areas can be appropriately equipped. Brunner also offers customized products, such as the chairs for SC Freiburg, which were produced in the club's special red.
Over the years, Brunner has realised many high-quality projects in the hospitality sector. Here, the furniture could be easily integrated with different requirements, as the Hotel Munde with the attached restaurant Biereck in Hofstetten shows. The feedback from the owners is clear: “We were surprised at how many areas we were able to furnish together with Brunner. Originally, we had only the seminar inventory in mind when we made our request. We didn't expect to find furniture for the restaurant, the lounges and the rooms that would now play a decisive role in shaping the overall picture. Brunner responded to our wishes with maximum flexibility.”
A similar situation applies to the Öschberghof in Donaueschingen, a five-star superior hotel with 126 rooms, a 5,000-square-meter spa and a 1,000-square-meter conference center. There are also lounges, a library and a gourmet restaurant. The various pieces of Brunner furniture, some of which are custom-made, create an aesthetically pleasing and functional ambience. One example is the “fina club” armchair in the restaurant. With its quilted check pattern and a mix of leather and velour, it looks elegant and is very comfortable thanks to its special padding.
One of the latest additions to Brunner's portfolio is the Luisenhöhe health resort in Freiburg, a spa hotel whose history dates back to 1896. In 2023, a new building was constructed at an altitude of 600 meters. The oval building blends harmoniously into the rolling hills of the Black Forest and is inspired by nature and traditional construction methods in the form of a shingle façade. Due to its location on the western slope of Freiburg's local mountain Schauinsland, the hotel offers impressive views over the Black Forest and the Rhine valley. The interior design is equally impressive: the 59 rooms, 24 suites, restaurant, spa and various conference rooms are furnished with Brunner furniture to meet the high design and comfort standards. In the restaurant, guests can make themselves comfortable in “ray soft” upholstered chairs or in “halm” armchairs to enjoy the ambience.
At the bar, the “fina bar” bar stools, in combination with the “ray lounge” armchairs and the “break” lounge tables, create a relaxed elegance. The five conference rooms are furnished with, among other things, the multifunctional “lift active” nesting table, the “halm” armchair, the “basic V” folding table, as well as mobile pinboards, whiteboards and stools from the “team” and “boards” series. Meanwhile, cozy lounge niches in the hotel rooms and suites invite guests to relax. Here, the “ray lounge” and “artemo” armchairs and the “valet” side table provide a place to unwind at the end of the day. In the reception areas, guests can also take a seat on the “oval” lounge system and the individual “pads” upholstered seating landscapes. Brunner's flexible and creative portfolio blends harmoniously into the architecture – whether it's a contemplative retreat or a functional workspace.
