The longstanding collaboration between family-run company Brunner and jehs+laub has given rise to yet another innovation: the "ray work" universal swivel chair, which combines the creative skill of the Stuttgart design duo with the expertise of the Baden-based furniture manufacturer. With its mesh upholstery, synchronizing mechanism, and automatic weight adjustment, it adapts effortlessly to its users. Thus, ergonomics and elegance combine to form a particularly lightweight office chair that meets the high quality standards required for office furniture.

The conference swivel chairs in the tried-and-tested "ray" series have likewise been given an update: The rocker mechanism has been extended to include infinitely variable height adjustment, making "ray" even more adaptable in terms of ergonomics and user comfort.

New possibilities unfold – quite literally – with "foild". A design study carried out with Switzerland’s architecture and design studio atelier oï resulted in a pull-out room divider that already aroused some curiosity as a prototype at Milan Design Week in 2023. Now "foildv is going into mass production to allow individual spatial arrangements for everyday work in the office, in areas of public life, or in care environments. Here, atelier oï’s experience of realizing temporary rooms shines through in the homely appeal of its system: The base for the slender screen, which is available in two heights, is a powder-coated aluminum frame whose scissor mechanism means it can be extended in length and positioned to create either a straight or curved divider in the space. High-quality textiles with an opaque look help to shape this subdivision in natural waves, providing a protective and elegant boundary. In addition to the proven standard colors of "stone" and "lava", calm, muted shades in fir-green "tourmaline", warm, rust-red "deer", or harmonious blue "waterfall" support this task with their balancing effect. "foild" also scores highly for its practical use: Its scissor mechanism means it can be stored easily and takes up little space, while the slot connectors make it possible to assemble and disassemble the furniture with no tools required – and likewise to dispose of it by separating the materials in the spirit of the circular economy.

The "boards" mobile shelves from osko+deichmann can likewise function as flexible room dividers. With an extended range of functions, they meet all the requirements of New Work: as a media trolley, equipped with a new, magnetic whiteboard, or set up as a mobile coat rack. The stools in the collection feature rollers but function as stable furniture, as they can only be moved when bearing weight and remain firm while standing alone.

The ample expansion of the "pads" series to include a sofa and smaller armchair by jehs+laub, meanwhile, provides a great deal of design freedom in terms of seating options. The armchairs are now fitted with gliders or castors and thus ensure the utmost mobility in the office. With an optional writing tablet, they are ideal for informal meetings and casual discussions, or as an alternative workstation.

For its design, Roland Schmidt Design chose to focus on the technical attributes that simplify the changes involved in day-to-day goings-on at events and seminars. With "basic row", course scenarios can be set up in a practical, mobile, and permanently appealing design. The stackable conference table is extremely easy to handle and can be stacked effortlessly by just one person. Always ready for use, it is tilted by the matching transport trolley or lifted from the stack of ten. The castors discreetly integrated into the tubular steel frame mean the tables are positioned to protect the floor, while the underside of the slender tabletop hides a stacking buffer that allows the tables to be joined and separated without tools.

In the form of "invite", Brunner presents a chair designed to provide comfortable seating for restaurants and cafeterias. Thanks to its additional functions, however, this upholstered seat also offers a comfortable option for the healthcare sector or waiting areas. Archirivolto’s many years of experience in furniture design – the Italian design studio has worked with Brunner on the extensive "crona collection", among others – is likewise evident in this edition. The four-legged frame is available in solid wood or steel and can be configured with a number of upholstery options. The round seat shell with integrated armrests and an open backrest guarantees optimal adjustment to the body, while the inviting shape keeps its promise and encourages you to linger.

For "crona steel", too, Brunner has an innovation at the ready: Picking up on the lines of the successful outdoor series, tables with tops in an open flat steel strut design now complement the portfolio. Available in two heights, they fit perfectly into the outdoor collection as bistro or bar table variants.

Table surfaces were the focus for the introduction of a new type of material into the Brunner cosmos: In line with an increasingly sustainable product portfolio, the company is now expanding its choice of materials to include "Kvadrat Really". Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat uses textile waste and biobased binding agents to produce panels, for which no paint, water, or toxic chemicals are required. This recycled product is made with minimal resources and can ultimately be broken down completely in circular fashion. This allows configuration of the tables in the proven Brunner series "nate", "nate s", "boards", and the bistro and bar tables in the "break" series. In the shades "Cotton Cream", "Cotton White", or "Cotton Blue", the revolutionary tabletops are extremely versatile and, with a solid ABS edge, particularly durable – thus fulfilling Brunner’s aspiration to create contract furniture that is at once bang on trend but with the future in mind.
