A good mix
The Cannon Green project in London follows a concept that pursues a healthy work-life balance by combining office spaces and leisure facilities: Close to Cannon Street at the heart of the City of London, more than 110,000 square meters of space and two stories make up a complex that offers office space alongside shops, a fitness studio and spacious roof terraces for relaxation. The complex also includes The Listing, a combined bar and restaurant, which was recently nominated for “The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards”. The ground-floor premises get ample daylight thanks to the floor-to-ceiling glass façade, while for the interior design, operator Drake & Morgan, a bar and restaurant chain, opted for an industrial look. There is no ceiling cladding, so the pipes remain visible, and the walls are made of exposed concrete, while numerous hanging plants and luminaires with bag-like shades add a more homely touch.
Guests in both the bar and restaurant areas can take their seats on chairs from the “Strike” collection by Arrmet. Selected for their fine details, the design of the seating furniture ideally underlines the concept of the rooms: While the delicate metal frame of the armchairs and bar stools picks up on the matt black and glossy copper of the industrial elements of the architecture, the comfortable cushioning provides for a relaxed seat – be it for a drink or a leisurely dinner. Chair, lounge chair and bar stool are equipped with armrests and thus contribute to seating comfort. For the covers of “Strike” and “Strike ST”, the designers chose leather in different colors, as well as fabric with a tropical pattern. Thanks to the comfortable seating elements and the filigree tubular frame, Arrmet chairs are particularly suitable for use in restaurants, bars and cafés and have already been nominated for several bar and restaurant awards this year.
