Splashes of comfortable color
A stay at the stylish design hotel Four Points by Sheraton in Mestre, Venice offers an opportunity to escape the hordes of tourists in the alleyways of the historical downtown but still allows visitors to reach the heart of the Venetian lagoon in only a few minutes thanks to its direct train connection. The hotel’s generous rooms feature elegant seating furniture by Arper which is equally suitable for business meetings and for creating a homelike atmosphere. Contrasting with the light, unobtrusive design of the rooms where wood and glass predominate, Arper’s furniture provides splashes of color.
The chair “Catifa 46” by Lievore Altherr Molina stacks and comes in a wide range of different versions. For the Four Points in Mestre the interior designers opted for fabric covers in a natural shade of green combined with wenge, a dark wood, for the frame. Lounge chair “Catifa 80,” by Lievore Altherr Molina with its generous, rotatable seat and rounded lines, offers users an even greater degree of comfortableness. The four-star base places the chair on a firm footing, as well as bringing out its character. The range is complemented by “Colina,” from the former trio - sculptural armchairs whose flowing lines create the impression that they are made of one single piece. “Colina,” in turn, goes well with “Loop,” a modular sofa system with a distinctive appearance, which looks good both with compact units and large seating landscapes, both also designs from Lievore Altherr Molina. The elegant legs make the sofa appear airy, so that even as a large model it does not appear dominant in the room. The graphic silhouette and the playful also alternate in the “supporting cast” – ottomans and side tables from the “Pix” range by Iwasaki Design Studio. The “Pix Table” is equally versatile with its powdercoated steel base and its MDF tabletop which can be set to various heights. (am)
