Since 2000, the Serpentine Gallery art museum has been working with renowned architects to design the Serpentine Pavilion in Kensington Gardens, which provides a social platform in the centre of London. Minsuk Cho's ‘Archipelagic Void’ refers to the ‘madang’, an open courtyard that characterises the traditional houses of his native Korea.
