During the dance performance in the German Pavilion, a visitor said dryly to his colleague: "Maybe we should do something like that more often in our office". Well, he's right.

The palace of the present shines. It is made entirely of precious materials that we all think we need every day: Platinum, cobalt, gold and rare earths.

"Your decision matters. Everything is available in the supermarket. We can have a say in the range of goods on offer – that's the message. It is presented in a striking and witty way. How much influence each individual architecture consumer has in the world supermarket, however, remains open.

The wool curtain goes down and creates a space within a space on cold days. The hybrid spaces, with separation between cold and warm zones are poetically depicted and a future theme in the Slovenian part of the Arsenale.

Historical examples of sleeping with the animals in the stable, glass verandas, communal bunks and dining table around the fire. The show from Slovenia shows that social activities are moving to where it is warm.

Sea levels are rising and Copenhagen is also affected. In the Danish Pavilion, the impending horror scenario can be experienced dramatically in ghost train quality. At the same time, however, the exhibition shows what quality can emerge - after losses due to rising sea levels – when natural and water spaces have washed over the low-lying settlements of post-war modernism.

Presidential opening of the Swiss Pavilion. Head of state and ministers appear on site every hour and show their appreciation for building culture. They give us hope that Building culture ["Bow-cool-tour"] is gaining international relevance. That is good.

"The Waterworks of Money". The world's rivers of money flow like water, and not always to where most people might need it. The delightful depiction with the feel of a copperplate engraving confirms that this is an old truth.

Analogue models and drawings in artistic quality by Flore & Plats from Barcelona in the Arsenale. The hand is the best tool, after all, if you want to understand existing components and spaces in the building structure before you work with them.

The new, the eternal growth and progress were beautiful. But our world is changing. Care, maintenance and repair are significant. The workshop and activities in the German Pavilion embody this message.
