At this year’s Orgatec, gumpo presents its furniture in new variantions and with inspiring, sometimes surprising surfaces. With this trade fair appearance, gumpo positions itself even more clearly as a flexible and powerful partner for interior designers and planning offices.

gumpo’s core competence remains the processing of wood and panel materials, but for Orgatec 2024, the collection is being expanded to include unusual products. Following pony®, gumpo is now introducing more upholstered furniture with yay and ohh, designed by the Munich-based designer duo Relvãokellermann.

yay and ohh embody two strong but very different characters that harmonise perfectly with each other. The yay chair, a compact upholstered chair with an original backrest, is a true statement piece whose radical design alone draws attention. In contrast, ohh is discreet and understated, a seating family based on a compact upholstered seat shell. This versatile seating family can be used in different environments and integrates seamlessly.

Although at first glance yay and ohh are a break from gumpo's tradition as a wood and panel processor, they still follow the proven design principles and therefore fit perfectly into the collection. They not only complement the existing products, but despite their differences, they harmonise beautifully with each other.

Whether in the office or at home, yay and ohh can be placed together on a table, creating a dialogue of loud and quiet, like different characters in a room. The upholstery work for yay and ohh and the production of the necessary substructures are carried out exclusively in Germany.
