FLOS: SuperWire by Studio Formafantasma

Formafantasma's new SuperWire collection was born out of experiments with the flexible filament of LED bulbs. The designers manipulated the filament's flexibility and aesthetic presence to create a modular lighting collection that combines industrial elements with timeless design.

The collection includes table, pendant and floor lamps. Each lamp has a hexagonal base made of flat glass plates connected by polished aluminium elements, illuminated by a thin, flat and flexible LED strip. This was developed by Flos specifically for a length of up to one metre.

SuperWire fits seamlessly into the concept of the Designers Studio, which combines aesthetics with an ecological commitment. This collection is a rare example of a lighting design in which the LED light source can be removed and replaced by the user.
