Camira Fabrics: ReSKU 2.0
New recycled wool fabric made from textile-to-textile recycled materials and plant-based renewables.
Camira has unveiled ReSKU 2.0, an innovative recycled wool fabric made from textile waste and plant-based renewables. Launching at Orgatec 2024, ReSKU 2.0 is a modern iteration of the company’s original recycled wool fabric, first introduced over 25 years ago.
Produced in Yorkshire, UK, ReSKU 2.0 contains 79% recycled content (66% wool, 13% polyamide) from Camira’s own manufacturing waste, blended with 21% renewable flax. The fabric is naturally flame retardant, without added chemicals.
Lynne Kingdon, Camira’s head of creative, said: “ReSKU 2.0 is a milestone for Camira in our 50th anniversary year, showcasing the potential of textile waste and renewing the life of wool in commercial, hospitality, and residential spaces.”
Developed through Camira Group’s iinouiio reprocessing technology, ReSKU 2.0 features a textured hopsack weave and is available in 24 colorways, achieved by blending colored flax with sorted wool fibers.
