Richard Lampert: Move Me Eiermann by Egon Eiermann
Richard Lampert presents a classic in motion.
For over 30 years, the Richard Lampert collection has stood for a special mix of design classics and unconventional designs. The most famous piece: the original Eiermann 1 table frame – designed in 1953 by the German architect Egon Eiermann. Puristic, functional and with a striking cross frame, it was originally only produced in a small series. Since the mid-1990s, Richard Lampert has held the exclusive manufacturing rights and has carefully developed the classic.
At the Milan Design Week 2025, the Stuttgart-based company is now presenting two new, height-adjustable versions of the Eiermann 1: a mechanical and an electrical version. They were designed by young designer Tim Schütze, who gave the design a modern interpretation as part of a study project. Inspired by 3D printer technology, he developed a height-adjustment mechanism using a spindle drive as a contemporary addition to the iconic work table.
After two years of development, the NEW ICON is celebrating its premiere at Capsule Plaza: with a chrome frame, marbled linoleum and a matching add-on: the SALTO storage and filing object in a special edition with the inscription ‘UP’.
