Artemide: IDYLLIUM by Carlotta de Bevilacqua
Form, structure and light merge into a single, continuous gesture.
IDYLLIUM is more than just a pendant light, it is a sculptural combination of light, structure and form. Its design is based on a three-dimensional module that is repeated in space and eventually closes in on itself, forming a continuous, infinite structure.
The light follows a gentle twist along this line, for a diffuse, pleasant and at the same time precise light distribution in all directions. Luminaire and supporting structure merge into one unit: delicate, flowing, functional.
The geometry of IDYLLIUM creates an open spatial volume that interacts with its surroundings without dominating them. Just as a sphere does not dictate a fixed viewing angle, its effect changes with perspective. IDYLLIUM always remains light, almost floating, forming a line with an internal cavity that dynamically communicates with the space.
The well-thought-out construction gives it structural stability and makes it a universal element - convertible, open to further developments and ready for a wide range of architectural contexts.
